Our Story
At the core of Derby City Shakedown are Phil and Pat—musical brothers in every way but blood—who have spent more than 15 years playing together, perfecting their harmony vocals and an intuitive feel for songs that move people. Phil grew up immersed in the emotional power of Pearl Jam, The Who, Neil Young, and the godfathers of rock & roll—music rooted in authenticity and heart. Pat brings the melodic brilliance of The Beatles and the deep groove of funk and soul pioneers like Parliament and Fishbone, shaping a sound that’s both timeless and irresistibly alive.
Fronting the band is Audrianna, a classically trained opera singer whose vocal command, range, and presence elevate every performance, seamlessly blending refined technique with raw rock energy. On keys is John, a University of Louisville–trained jazz musician whose harmonic depth, musical intelligence, and subtle sophistication add richness to every arrangement. On guitar is Billy, a true virtuoso who has performed with high-end acts throughout the region, delivering precision, feel, and jaw-dropping solos that leave a lasting impression.
